About The Highland Park Players (HPP) The Highland Park Players, is a not-for profit community theatre founded in March 1988 by Susan Haimes, Lois Israel, and Donna Lubow. They, along with a band of theatre enthusiasts, flush from the success of "Showstoppers," a fundraiser for the performing arts at Highland Park High School, thought that Highland Park should have a community theatre. With support from the community, The Highland Park Players was born.
Literally thousands of theater lovers have benefited from the artistic offerings of The Highland Park Players, whether as audience members or as participants on and off stage. Over the last decade, the Players has grown into an established contributor to the cultural life of the North Shore by providing outstanding Broadway musicals and a variety of serious full-length plays. The Highland Park Players also offers Children's Theatre featuring one-act interactive plays.
Updates on the HPP 2009 performances will be announced soon.
